Ten years ago this week, Rubberneckin’ by Elvis Presley entered the UK singles chart at its highest position of number 5. After one week at its peak position, the song fell to number 9 for a final week in the top 10. A further two weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.

Rubberneckin’ was released on the RCA record label and was the fifty-ninth top 10 hit for Elvis Presley in the UK. It was a remix taken from the compilation album 2nd to none, which peaked at number 4 in the UK albums chart. The original recording was taken from the 1969 film Change of habit but the single did not enter the UK chart.
