Twenty years ago this week, Venus as a boy by Bjork entered the UK singles chart at number 29. This was the highest position the song achieved as it fell to number 36 a week later for a final week in the top 40.

Venus as a boy was released on the One Little Indian record label and was the second of twenty top 40 hits for Bjork in the UK. It was taken from the double-platinum-selling album Debut, which peaked at number 3 in the UK albums chart.
