This week in 1983, Dancing tight by Galaxy featuring Phil Fearon reached its highest position of number 4 in the UK singles chart in its fifth week in the top 40 and third in the top 10. After one week at its peak position, the song fell to number 6 for a final week in the top 10 and then dropped into the lower top 40 for the last three weeks of its chart life.

Dancing tight was released on the Ensign record label and was the first of four UK top 10 hits for Phil Fearon. It was included on the album Phil Fearon and Galaxy, which peaked at number 8 in the UK albums chart in 1984.
