This week in 1984, Love games by Belle and the Devotions reached its highest position of number 11 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 three weeks previously at number 39. After one week at its peak position, the song fell to number 24 for a final week in the top 40.

Love games was released on the CBS record label and was the only UK top 40 hit for Belle and the Devotions. The song was the UK entry in the 1984 Eurovision Song Contest where it came seventh.
