Inside by Stiltskin replaced The real thing by Tony Di Bart at the top of the UK singles chart this week in 1994, having entered the top 40 the previous week at number 5. The song stayed at number 1 for just one week before yielding the position to Come on you reds by the Manchester United Football Squad.

After falling from the top spot, the single spent four more weeks in the top 10, two of them in the top 5. A further five weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.

Inside was released on the White Water record label and was the only UK number 1 hit for Stiltskin. It was included on the album The mind’s eye, which peaked at number 17 in the UK album chart later in 1994.
