This week in 1984, My ever changing moods by the Style Council reached its highest position of number 5 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 the previous week at number 8. After one week at its peak position, the song fell to number 9 for a final week in the top 10. A further three weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.
My ever changing moods was released on the Polydor record label and was the third of seven top 10 hits for the Style Council in the UK. It was included on the gold-selling album Cafe bleu, which peaked at number 2 in the UK albums chart later in 1984.
