Forty years ago this week, Pyjamarama by Roxy Music was at its highest position of number 10 in the UK singles chart for the third and final week. It had entered the top 40 six weeks previously at number 31. After falling from its peak position, the song spent four more weeks in the lower top 40 and then left the chart.
Pyjamarama was released on the Island record label. It was the second of ten UK top 10 hits for Roxy Music.
