I Could Easily Fall – Cliff Richard And The Shadows

Cliff Richard and the Shadows took this track into the UK top 10 for four weeks in 1964 and 1965.

Fifty years ago this week, I could easily fall by Cliff Richard and the Shadows reached its highest position of number 6 in the UK singles chart. It had entered the top 40 three weeks previously at number 20 and broke into the top 10 a week later. After one week at its peak position, the song fell to number 9 for a final week in the top 10. A further five weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.

I could easily fall was released on the Columbia record label and was the twenty-seventh UK top 10 hit for Cliff Richard and the thirty-sixth for the Shadows. It was taken from the album Aladdin and his wonderful lamp, which peaked at number 13 in the UK album chart.
