Twenty years ago this week, If I can’t change your mind by Sugar entered the UK singles chart at number 30. This was the highest position the song achieved as it dropped out of the top 40 the following week.
If I can’t change your mind was released on the Creation record label and was the first of two top 40 hits for Sugar in the UK. It was taken from the silver-selling album Copper blue, which peaked at number 10 in the UK albums chart.
