Ten years ago this week, 03 Bonnie and Clyde by Jay-Z featuring Beyonce Knowles entered the UK singles chart at its highest position of number 2. After one week at its peak position, the song spent two more weeks in the top 10 and then dropped into the lower top 40 for the final five weeks of its chart life.

03 Bonnie and Clyde was released on the Roc-A-Fella record label and was the fifth UK top 10 hit for Jay-Z and the second for Beyonce. It was taken from Jay-Z’s gold-selling album The blueprint²: the gift and the curse, which peaked at number 23 in the UK albums chart and was a US number 1.
