This week in 1995, Reach up (Papa’s got a brand new pig bag) by the Perfecto Allstarz reached its highest position of number 6 in the UK singles chart. It had entered the top 40 four weeks previously at number 17 and broke into the top 10 a week later. After one week at its peak position, the song fell to number 7 for a final week in the top 10 and then spent the last two weeks of its chart life in the lower top 40.

Reach up (Papa’s got a brand new pig bag) was released on the Perfecto record label and was the only UK top 10 hit for the Perfecto Allstarz. The single was certified silver and used a sample from a number 3 hit from 1982, Papa’s got a brand new pigbag by Pigbag.
