This week in 1994, Run to the sun by Erasure entered the UK singles chart at its highest position of number 6. After one week at its peak position, the song slipped out of the top 10 and spent the last two weeks of its chart life in the lower top 40.

Run to the sun was released on the Mute record label and was the fifteenth of seventeen top 10 hits for Erasure in the UK. It was taken from the gold-selling album I say, I say, I say, which spent one week at the top of the UK album chart.
