Right By Your Side – Eurythmics

Thirty years ago this week, Right by your side by the Eurythmics entered the UK top 10 at number 10, having entered the top 40 three weeks previously at number 27. This was the highest position the song achieved as it dropped out of the top 10 a week later and spent the final five weeks of its chart life in the lower top 40.

Right by your side was released on the RCA record label and was the fourth of nine UK top 10 hits the Eurythmics. It was taken from the platinum-selling album Touch, which spent two weeks at the top of the UK albums chart.
