This week in 1993, She don’t let nobody by Chaka Demus and Pliers was at its highest position of number 4 in the UK singles chart for the first of three weeks. It had entered the top 40 two weeks previously at number 18 and broke into the top 10 a week later. After falling from its peak position, the song spent one more week in the top 10, at number 6, and then spent the final two weeks of its chart life in the lower top 40.
She don’t let nobody was released on the Mango record label and was the second of three top 10 hits for Chaka Demus and Pliers in the UK. It was taken from the platinum-selling album Tease me, which spent two weeks at the top of the UK albums chart. The single was certified silver.
