Twenty years ago this week, Creep by Radiohead entered the UK singles chart at number 7. This was the highest position the song achieved as it dropped out of the top 10 a week later. A further four weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.
Creep was released on the Parlophone record label and was the first UK top 10 hit for Radiohead. It was included on the platinum-selling album Pablo honey, which peaked at number 22 in the UK albums chart.
The song had originally been released the previous year but had not entered the top 40. It returned to the chart in 2008, peaking at number 37.
