This week in 1963, Theme from the film ‘The legion’s last patrol’ by Ken Thorne reached its highest position of number 4 in the UK singles chart in its sixth week in the top 40 and third in the top 10. After one week at its peak position, the song slipped out of the top 10 for a week then rose again for one final week at number 10. A further four weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.

Theme from the film ‘The legion’s last patrol’ was released on the HMV record label. It was the only UK top 10 hit for Ken Thorne.
