This week in 1993, Nuff vibes (EP) by Apache Indian reached its highest position of number 5 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 the previous week at number 8. After one week at its peak position, the record started to slide down the chart but stayed in the top 10 for another three weeks. It then spent the final three weeks of its chart life in the lower top 40.
Nuff vibes (EP) was released on the Island record label and was the only top 10 hit for Apache Indian in the UK. The lead track, Boom shack-a-lak, was also included on the 1995 album Make way for the Indian, which failed to enter the UK albums chart. The EP was certified silver.
