This week in 1993, I have nothing by Whitney Houston was at its highest position of number 3 in the UK singles chart for the second of two weeks. It had entered the top 40 two weeks previously at number 9. After falling from its peak position, the song spent one more week in the top 10 and then dropped into the lower top 40 for the last four weeks of its chart life.
I have nothing was released on the Arista record label and was the eleventh of seventeen top 10 hits for Whitney Houston in the UK. It was the third track taken from the soundtrack album of the film The bodyguard, in which Houston starred.
