This week in 1993, U got 2 know by Cappella was at its highest position of number 6 in the UK singles chart for the second of two weeks. It had entered the top 40 four weeks previously at number 22 and broke into the top 10 two weeks later. After falling from its peak position, the song dropped into the lower top 40 for the final four weeks of its chart life.
U got 2 know was released on the Internal Dance record label and was the first of four top 10 hits for Cappella in the UK. It was taken from a gold-selling album of the same name that reached number 10 in the UK album chart. The single used a sample from Happy house, a 1980 hit for Siouxsie and the Banshees.
