Songbird – Oasis

This week in 2003, Songbird by Oasis entered the UK singles chart at its highest position of number 3. After one week at its peak position, the song fell to number 6 for a final week in the top 10. A further three weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.

Songbird was released on the Big Brother record label and was the seventeenth of twenty-three UK top 10 hits for Oasis. It was taken from the triple-platinum-selling album Heathen chemistry, which spent one week at the top of the UK albums chart.
