Thirty years ago this week, We belong by Pat Benatar reached its highest position of number 22 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 three weeks previously at number 31. After one week at its peak position, the song stayed in the top 40 for another two weeks and then left the chart.
We belong was released on the Chrysalis record label and was the first of three top 40 hits for Pat Benatar in the UK. It was taken from the silver-selling album Tropico, which peaked at number 31 in the UK albums chart.
