It’s now or never by Elvis Presley replaced Goodies by Ciara featuring Petey Pablo at the top of the UK singles chart ten years ago this week in its first week of re-release. It stayed at number 1 for just one week and then made way for Like toy soldiers by Eminem. After falling from the top spot, the song dropped out of the top 10 and spent the final two weeks of its chart life in the lower top 40.

It’s now or never was released on the RCA record label and was the last of twenty-one UK number one hits for Elvis Presley. It had also been his fifth number one when it was first released in 1960 and it entered the top 40 again in 1977 when it reached number 39. The original released was also a US number 1.
