Twenty years ago this week, Glory box by Portishead entered the UK singles chart at its highest position of number 13. After one week at its peak position, the song started to slide down the chart but remained in the top 40 for another four weeks.
Glory box was released on the Go! Beat record label and was the first of five UK top 40 hits for Portishead. It was taken from the double-platinum-selling album Dummy, which peaked at number 2 in the UK albums chart.
