Thirty years ago this week, Invisible by Alison Moyet reached its highest position of number 21 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 six weeks previously at number 40. After one week at its peak position, the song spent two more weeks in the top 40 and then left the chart.
Invisible was released on the CBS record label and was the third of nine UK top 40 hits for Alison Moyet. It was taken from the quadruple-platinum-selling album Alf, which spent one week at the top of the UK albums chart.
