Ten years ago this week, Out of touch by Uniting Nations entered the UK top 10 at its highest position of number 7, having entered the top 40 five weeks previously at number 12. After one week at its peak position, the song stayed in the top 10 for another three weeks and then fell to number 13. After a one-week absence, it returned to the top 10 for one final week and then spent the last five weeks of its chart life in the lower top 40.

Out of touch was released on the Gusto record label and was the only top 10 hit for Uniting Nations in the UK. It was included on the album One world, which failed to enter the UK albums chart.

The original version of the song was recorded by Daryl Hall & John Oates in 1984. The single failed to enter the UK top 40, peaking at number 48, but was a US number 1.
