This week in 2004, Hip to hip / Can you feel it? by V entered the UK singles chart at its highest position of number 5. After just one week in the top 10, the record slipped into the lower top 40 for the final three weeks of its chart life.

Hip to hip / Can you feel it? was released on the Universal record label and was the second of two top 10 hits for V in the UK. Both tracks were taken from the album You stood up, which did not enter the UK album top 40.

The original version of Can you feel it? was recorded by the Jacksons in 1980. The single peaked at number 6 in the UK chart in 1981.
