This week in 1974, It’s you by Freddie Starr was at its highest position of number 9 in the UK singles chart for the first of two weeks. It had entered the top 40 three weeks previously at number 39. After two weeks in the top 10, the song dropped into the lower top 40 for the final four weeks of its chart life.

It’s you was released on the Tiffany record label and was the only top 10 hit for Freddie Starr in the UK. It was taken from the album From me to you, which did not enter the UK album chart.
