Ten years ago this week, So yesterday by Hilary Duff entered the UK singles chart at number 9. This was the highest position the song achieved as it dropped out of the top 10 a week later. A further three weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.

So yesterday was released on the Hollywood record label and was the first of two top 10 hits for Hilary Duff in the UK. It was taken from the album Metamorphosis, which failed to enter the UK album top 40, peaking at number 69.
