This week in 1993, Condemnation by Depeche Mode entered the UK singles chart at number 9. This was the highest position the record achieved as it slipped to number 22 the following week for a final week in the top 40.

Condemnation was released on the Mute record label and was the eighth UK top 10 hit for Depeche Mode. It was taken from the gold-selling album Songs of faith and devotion, which spent one week at the top of the UK albums chart and was also a US number 1.
