Pretty Green Eyes – Ultrabeat

Ten years ago this week, Pretty green eyes by Ultrabeat was at its highest position of number 2 in the UK singles chart for the second of two weeks, having entered the top 40 the previous week. The song then started to slide down the chart but remained in the top 10 for another four weeks, two of them in the top 5. A further six weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.

Pretty green eyes was released on the All Around The World record label and was the only top 10 hit for Ultrabeat in the UK. It was included on the group’s debut album Ultrabeat: the album, which peaked at number 8 in 2007.

The original version of the song was recorded by Force & Styles featuring Junior in 1996 for their album All over the UK. The single did not enter the top 40.
