Twenty years ago this week, Julia says by Wet Wet Wet reached its highest position of number 3 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 the previous week at number 6. After one week at its peak position, the song started to slide down the chart but stayed in the top 10 for another two weeks. A further two weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.
Julia says was released on the Precious Organisation record label and was the eighth UK top 10 hit for Wet Wet Wet. It was taken from the triple-platinum-selling album Picture this, which spent three weeks at the top of the UK album chart.
