I’m So Excited – Pointer Sisters

This week in 1984, I’m so excited by the Pointer Sisters reached its highest position of number 11 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 three weeks previously at number 28. After one week at its peak position, the song started to slide down the chart but remained in the top 40 for another three weeks.

I’m so excited was released on the Planet record label and was the sixth of eight top 40 hits for the Pointer Sisters in the UK. This remixed version of the song was taken from the gold-selling album Break out, which peaked at number 9 in the UK album chart. The original version was included on the album So excited!, which failed to enter the chart in 1982.
