Thirty years ago this week, Eyes without a face by Billy Idol reached its highest position of number 18 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 two weeks previously at number 33. After one week at it speak position, the song spent another three weeks in the top 40 and then left the chart.
Eyes without a face was released on the Chrysalis record label and was the first of ten top 40 hits for Billy Idol in the UK. It was included on the silver-selling album Rebel yell, which peaked at number 36 in the UK album chart in 1985.
