Fifty years ago this week, Kissin’ cousins by Elvis Presley entered the UK top 10 at its highest position of number 10, having entered the top 40 two weeks previously at number 33. After just one week in the top 10, the song dropped into the lower top 40 for the final six weeks of its chart life.
Kissin’ cousins was released on the RCA record label and was the thirty-second UK top 10 hit for Elvis Presley. It was written for the film of the same name and appeared on its soundtrack album, which peaked at number 5 in the UK album chart.
