This week in 1994, Mmm mmm mmm mmm by the Crash Test Dummies reached its highest position of number 2 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 the previous week at number 5. After one week at its peak position, the song started to slide down the chart but stayed in the top 10 for another three weeks. A further three weeks in the lower top 40 followed before the record left the chart.
Mmm mmm mmm mmm was released on the RCA record label and was the only top 10 hit for the Crash Test Dummies in the UK. It was taken from the gold-selling album God shuffled his feet, which peaked at number 2 in the UK album chart. The single was certified silver.
