This week in 1994, Breathe again by Toni Braxton was at its highest position of number 2 in the UK singles chart for the first of two weeks. It had entered the top 40 three weeks previously at number 26 and broke into the top 10 two weeks later. After falling from its peak position, the song stayed in the top 10 for another five weeks, four of them in the top 5, and then fell to number 28 for a final week in the top 40.
Breathe again was released on the LaFace record label and was the first of five UK top 10 hits for Toni Braxton. It was taken from the gold-selling album Toni Braxton, which peaked at number 4 in the UK album chart and was a US number 1. The single was certified silver.
