This week in 1974, Teenage rampage by Sweet was at its highest position of number 2 in the UK singles chart for the second of three weeks, having entered the top 40 two weeks previously at number 6. After falling from its peak position, the song stayed in the top 10 for one more week, at number 4, and then spent the last three weeks of its chart life in the lower top 40.

Teenage rampage was released on the RCA record label and was the seventh of ten UK top 10 hits for Sweet. The single was certified silver.
