This week in 1984, Nobody told me by John Lennon entered the UK top 10 at its highest position of number 6, having entered the top 40 the previous week at number 11. After just one week in the top 10, the song slipped into the lower top 40 for the final two weeks of its chart life.
Nobody told me was released on the Ono Music / Polydor record label and was the tenth of eleven top 10 hits for John Lennon in the UK. It was taken from the gold-selling album Milk and honey, which peaked at number 3 in the UK album chart.
