Fifty years ago this week, Geronimo by the Shadows was at its highest position of number 11 in the UK singles chart for the second of two weeks, having entered the top 40 three weeks previously at number 28. After two weeks at its peak position, the song started to slide down the chart but remained in the top 40 for another seven weeks.
Geronimo was released on the Columbia record label. It was the thirty-seventh UK top 40 hit for the Shadows.
