Forty years ago this week, Do you wanna dance? by Barry Blue reached its highest position of number 7 in the UK singles chart. It had entered the top 40 three weeks previously at number 31 and broke into the top 10 two weeks later. After one week at its peak position, the song spent two more weeks in the top 10 and then dropped into the lower top 40 for the final five weeks of its chart life.
Do you wanna dance? was released on the Bell record label. It was the second of two UK top 10 hits for Barry Blue.
