Thirty years ago this week, Treat her like a lady by the Temptations reached its highest position of number 12 in the UK singles chart, having entered the top 40 the previous week at number 26. After one week at its peak position, the song spent another four weeks in the top 40 and then left the chart. It returned to the top 40 after a one-week absence for a final week at number 33.
Treat her like a lady was released on the Motown record label and was the seventeenth of nineteen UK top 40 hits for the Temptations. It was taken from the album Truly for you, which failed to enter the UK album top 40, peaking at number 75.
